And when Taylor was shot a few hours later, Will felt his reluctance to get involved was vindicated. For Will, the team and the friendship have to come first -- despite the fact that he hasn't failed to notice just how...hot Taylor is.

Taylor has been in love with his partner and best friend since they were first partnered. There isn't much he wouldn't do for Will -- but he doesn't know how much longer they can stay teamed feeling the way he does. Still, he agreed to a camping trip in the High Sierras -- despite the fact that he hates camping -- because Will wanted a chance to save their partnership. But the trip is a disaster from the first, and things rapidly go from bad to worse when they find a crashed plane and a couple of million dollars in stolen money.

With a trio of murderous robbers trailing them, Will and Taylor are on dangerous ground, fighting for their partnership, their passion...and their lives.

Get a copy here!

***

Ever have one of those DOH! moments when you've bought books, put off reading, got distracted, then read something else from the same author and realized "Holy shit! I've been missing this??" Well, I had one of those moments.

See, I've got several of Josh Lanyon's books, but due to work, I don't have a lot of time to read for pleasure, and when I do, it's usually something short. Well, after seeing bbmrebel's rec for Dangerous Ground, I basically said screw the world. Nadia napped, I read. And read. And read. Truth be told, I read this book in one damn sitting. Couldn't stop. I...am officially a Josh Lanyon fan. *off to start the Adrien English Mysteries!*

So...read this book!!!

Working today on Breakdown 2, so I thought I'd share a little moment...

***

They finished up lunch, put the dishes in the dishwasher, and Ty got them both two more Cokes. Before he could head to the bedroom to get his boots, though, Jack caught him. Ty didn't have to ask, he just opened up for the kiss. Leaning back against the door frame, a can in each hand, he lost himself in a simple kiss that took his breath away. Beneath the hint of turkey and Coke, he tasted Jack -- warm, a lingering touch of mint from toothpaste, and undeniable heat. One of Jack's hands was braced above Ty's head on the door frame, while the other rested on Ty's hip, holding him tight against his lover's body. When Jack finally pulled away, Ty grinned up at him, quite certain the smile was goofy and lopsided, but he didn't care.

"I could do that forever."

"What?"

"Kiss you," Jack whispered over Ty's lips.

Ty barely nodded, unwilling to lose the contact. But there you have it.

Got round two edits back from our Phaze editor on Through the Dark, our alternate historical/werewolf novella due out the beginning of June. Something freaky happened with the file and several places ended up ridiculously garbled. I've since fixed it and sent it back, then discovered one of the files was corrupt. Thank God I had two versions. *sighs*

Also on the editing note, I'm sending out edits for the Summer Solstice Taste Test today, so those of you waiting, they're on their way. I'll also be reading subs for the Horns & Halos one. The deadline isn't til July 15th, but these things are filling up FAST. So if you see a call you like, best to get it written quickly. Just a note for Horns & Halos: no acceptances/rejections have been made, so if you've got something, send it!

Next on the editing/Taste Test agenda after Summer Solstice is A Day at the Beach.

***

In writing news, Shayne and I are finishing up our antho ("7") for TQ's Turn of the Screw. All work has been saved, but it's still a royal pain in the ass.

I'm also finishing Breakdown 2, which is due June 1st as well.

Plus I've got a couple other things I need to finish by June/July: one is for a BDSM antho Beth Wylde is putting together for Phaze; the other is for Dreams & Desires 3 from Freya's Bower. That one is almost done. I'm sending Tony and Neil's story to Marci for that.
:) Got an email from Carwyn (my Welsh friend). It's been a good while since we talked, and he had some awesome news. He and his partner just bought their first house in the country, though he did mention wanting to head to Manchester. And with the wonderful help of a close female friend, they have a son! He's 13 months old now and I'm so incredibly happy for them. :D
